MnChallengers – Northfield Cruise – August 2010
We had 12 cars on our cruise to Northfield on Saturday for Nick Sinclairs 5th Annual “Low Brow High Octane” event. Not bad considering most of the club went to Rock Falls with Midwest Mopars for the club fun run day. Maybe next year we can crash Rock Falls during the MWM event and join in on some race day action.
I didn’t know how many Challengers would make the event so I opened the cruise up to some friends with classic muscle cars. We met at O’Reilly’s in Lakeville near Buck Hill, talked about cars as we waited for more cars, then hit the cruise with tires spinning out of the lot. In my excitement to line up with Ian in his 71 Challenger I missed our turn. Ian spanked me at launch as I spun my tires. I’ve never raced anyone before so I didn’t feel bad. We hit Northfield at 5pm as planned, parked our cars, checked out the cars, grabbed a bite to eat and had a great time. Looking forward to the next event.
