Cruise for Troops Mission:

Cruise For Troops pays tribute to our fallen soldiers while raising money to help fund the
education of the children who are left behind. Whether it is a hero’s death in combat or a veteran suicide, the aftermath the children and families must endure lasts a lifetime. Our goal is to honor the sacrifices made, help restore a sense of normalcy to the families left behind, and ease a financial burden while providing a solid educational foundation for their child’s future.

Memorial Poker Run – 9/19/15

Frozen North LX Car Club hosted a Poker Run in memory of  a member’s sister who was killed in a senseless act of domestic violence. This car cruise was open to all members of the car community. The Poker Run raised over $700 to help support the family of the victim.

Registration and start of the Run was at Arizona’s Bar and Grill in Shakopee, MN. Our first stop was Jims Apple Farm/Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store in Jordan. MN. There was a large selection of candy, soda, and fresh picked apples. Our second stop was Snuffy’s Malt Shop in Minnetonka, MN. Their Appie Pie shake was pretty darn good! Our third stop was Hi-Tech Motorsports in Elk River, MN. The crew at Hi-Tech was kind enough to give us a shop tour  and let us take a look around the shop and ask questions. Our final stop was Mort’s Delicatessen in Golden Valley, MN. Mort’s is owned by a member of FNLX.

Thank you to Frozen North LX Car Club for putting this run together on short notice and coming together for a member in need!

Thanks to Mike and Laurie Trummer for leading our cruise from Fury South St Paul to Crosby Farm Park!

We had the picnic shelter for the entire day. The club provided all the food (Jimmy Johns, Old Dutch Chips, Pillsbury brownies and Eileen’s Colossal Cookies). It was a family friendly event. Everyone had a chance to socialize in a low key environment
