MnChallengers Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up – May 16th, 2015
This past Saturday, MnChallengers joined the Adopt-a-Highway program by adopting a 1-mile stretch of County Road 43 in Mendota Heights, MN. We had 11 people show up to clean the sides of the road and we found quite a variety of garbage.
Special thanks to club members Wolffy, Richard, Patty, Jon, Kent, Tim, Kevin, Heather, Nick and Angela for taking time out of their schedules to support a worthwhile cause.
WHAT: May Cruise to Burnett Dairy Co-op
WHERE: World Famous Burnett Dairy Cheese Store
WHEN: Saturday, May 9th
Our May cruise was to Burnett Dairy Co-op in Alpha, WI. They sell cheese, wine and specialty gifts & products. They also have a bistro so we had lunch there as well – they had sandwiches, pizzas, fried fresh cheese curds, ice cream and frozen yogurt!
Our meet up was at the main Grandma’s Bakery (White Bear Lake, MN) at 10am. We had donuts and cookies for breakfast before we started our cruise at 10:30.
Our cruise was a good 2 hours to get to the Burnett Dairy Cheese Store. They were expecting us for lunch! We ate lunch there and shopped for cheese, wine and other goodies.
After the cheese store, we had another 90-minute cruise. The second half of the cruise was to none other than Nelson’s Ice Cream in Stillwater, MN!!! (remember, get the kids size!!) That part of the cruise took us for some SPIRITED driving on WI highways 48, 46, 65 and 64.
