Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

Here are the final details for tomorrow’s Elko Speedway Event.:

1. Gates open at 5pm for the general public. They would like us there at 4pm to stage our cars on the concourse. This means a shorter cruise to the track because we will have 3 hours to kill there. We will meet at the O’Reilly Auto Parts at I35 and CR46 in Lakeville/Burnsville at 3:30 and leave at 3:45 to drive directly to the track. http://goo.gl/maps/ivgC

2. We will be going in Gate 1 just past the ticketing window and parking on the West Concourse.

3. Time Trials for the NASCAR cars starts at 6pm.4. National Anthem and Event start at 7pm. It is the Dwain Behrens Memorial Event, so his race car may be on the track for the Anthem. We will find out on Saturday if we will be on the track for this.

5. The event runs from 7pm to 10-10:30pm. There will be an intermission about halfway through. This would be the time where we get 5-7 minutes on the track. The track said anything goes as long as we would sign a waiver. They also ask that we don’t do anything that causes them to do clean-up like go through the grass, etc.

They will allow the driver into the event for free but anyone else in the car would have to pay regular price.

Tickets are located HERE. (Tickets purchased at the track have no fees)
