WAMPACH’S MAP: LINK
DETAILS: Weather permitting, we’ll have one more cruise to close out the season on November 6th. We’ll meet at Wampach’s restaurant in Shakopee at 8am, have breakfast, then cruise to AutoMotorplex in Chanhassen for a tour of the facility.
Wampach’s is an old diner located near the 101 bridge in downtown Shakopee. They serve a great breakfast. We will cruise across the river to Chanhassen for a tour of the AutoMotorplex facility. While we are there we’ll get to see the facility club house and (cross your fingers) one or more customer owned garages.
If the weather is poor, drive your vehicle of choice and we’ll still meet for breakfast and head up to the motorplex to check out the venue.
RSVP: Please respond via EMAIL if you’re planning to attend.

MnChallengers – Fall Cruise – October 2010
We hit some bumps today on the cruise. Lost the tail end of the group, missed a turn, road closed, lunch spot torn down and replaced with condo’s, backup lunch spot not open until 5. Behind the scenes two of the roads I picked for the route were gravel. The stress of bringing a large group on a new route is high. I still had fun and from what people have told me, they had fun too. Great weather, great group, great scenery. Doesn’t get much better than that. Thanks to everyone for coming out today and all the other cruises and events we have had since starting up in January. I’ve had a blast putting things together for us and look forward to more through the winter months. We may have one more opportunity for a cruise before snow fly’s. Stay tuned.
MNCHALLENGERS – MWM FALL CRUISE TO ELMERS
We had four Challengers at the Midwest Mopars fall cruise to Elmer’s on Saturday. The weather, scenery, people, small towns, river and drive were a nice break from weeks of working my tail off on projects at home. We left the start point around 9:30 and within minutes lost sight of the group in front of us and missed a turn. One of the MWM members caught up with us in Frontenac and lead us across the river in Wabasha. We arrived ahead of the first group and parked our cars in a reserved area over looking Fountain City. The hill sloped down the face of the bluff. If your car wasn’t in gear, you’d have to drive back to town to get it. We broke off in small groups and browsed the many buildings packed full of collectables of just about anything you can think of related to motorized transportation and antique toys. Mike bought an old peddle car from Elmer. Maybe we’ll get to see it at one of the club events? With so many things going on at home I left early before the food went onto the grill. I did make time to stop at Nelson’s Creamery to get some fresh cheese curds though. Looking forward to our fall cruise on October 16th.
